The mission of our Madison County Genealogy Society is to:
1. Educate others interested in genealogy.
2. Encourage the research and preservation of family history.
3. Aid in genealogy research and encourage the sharing of research information.
4. Foster solid genealogical research practices.
5. Procure, preserve, publish and distribute both genealogical and historical materials.
We have set up a small library in the back of the Treasures of Madison Museum. We are very greatful to them for their support. Come by and see the Madison Treasures and then learn about some of the "people treasures" of Madison.

We have struggled to gain enough volunteers to keep our library open to the public from Tuesday through Friday each week, but have not yet succeeded. Therefore, we will be open on Thursday and Friday, 10:00-2:00 through the summer. If these days will not meet your needs, please send us an e-mail and we will try to accommodate your needs. Our next meeting will be in September so watch the website and we will provide details.
